Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Event Rises website and mobile application (the "Service"). By creating an account, hosting an event, purchasing tickets, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal authority to enter into these Terms.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep your profile information up to date. You may not share your account or transfer it without our consent.

3. Hosting Events

Hosts may create public or private events, set ticket tiers, build agendas, and choose a subscription plan (Basic, Premium, or Ultimate). You are solely responsible for the events you list, including their legality, accuracy, and your ability to deliver what is promised. You must comply with all applicable laws, secure any required permits, and honor tickets sold through the Service.

4. Tickets and Payments

Ticket sales are processed through Stripe. Depending on your subscription plan, Event Rises charges a platform fee on each sale (10% on Basic, lower on Premium, and none on Ultimate). Host payouts are sent to the connected bank account you configure. You authorize us to collect and remit these fees from your sales. All purchases are final unless an event is cancelled or otherwise required by law to be refunded.

5. Subscriptions

Subscription plans are billed on a recurring basis until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation stops future renewals but does not refund the current billing period. We may change plan pricing with reasonable notice, and any change applies only to future billing cycles.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, fraudulent, or unlawful content.
• Sell tickets for events you do not intend to host or are not authorized to offer.
• Use the Service to harass, discriminate, or harm others.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or overload the platform.
• Scrape, resell, or redistribute data from the Service without permission.
• Violate any third-party rights, including intellectual property and privacy rights.

7. Content and Licenses

You retain ownership of the content you submit (event images, descriptions, and profile information). You grant Event Rises a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and process that content solely to operate and promote the Service. We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

8. Referrals and Affiliates

If you participate in the referral or affiliate programs, you must comply with their published rules. Commissions are paid on qualifying, non-refunded transactions. We may withhold or recover payouts for fraudulent activity, chargebacks, or violations of program terms.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that every event will occur as described, that tickets will be honored by a host, or that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. You use the Service at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Event Rises and its founders, employees, and partners are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months, if any.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the app settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if your activity creates risk or legal exposure for us, or for any other reason with reasonable notice.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify you through the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
